Biodiesel is derived from alkyl esters made from vegetable oils. The remarkable
thing about this process is that the resulting fuel can be readily used in current
diesel engine vehicles without any modification to the engine. Add to that the
fact that biodiesel is easily distributed utilizing the existing infrastructure
and it is easy to see how quickly biodiesel will supplement fossil fuels as the
world's primary transport energy source — moving not only transportation
but shipping and logistics in entirely new directions.
Biodiesel from feedstock
A variety of oils can be used to produce biodiesel, among
them corn, soy, palm, and rapeseed. Our strategic locations, expertise
in alternative fuels, feedstock resources, and plans to acquire
and build technologically advanced biodiesel plants puts White
Energy in a prime position as a leading provider of renewable alternative
fuels. |
